Entertaining, Informative, Annoying

British Car Day- August 6, 2005 at Eastwood MetroPark in Dayton, Ohio

Austin-Healey "Bugeye" Sprite

Aston Martin V12 Vanquish S

Like the "Bugeye" Sprite, this car seems to be smiling at you. Unlike the Sprite, the smile is more reminiscent of a shark that has just found its supper. BritBox thought that there was an unmistakeable smell of Porsche on this car's breath.

Lotus Europa & Lotus Elise

Lotus Elise

Almost 200 BHP in less than 2,000 lbs.

More scoops than Raisin Bran.

MG R V8

Here is a beautiful car that you will not often see in North America. MG produced a limited number of these V8-engined roadsters, using the British Heritage tooling for the basic body tubs. They were never officially adapted or certified for sale in the New World. BritBox was informed by an MG admirer standing by the car that the owner had brought the car over from the UK in pieces, and assembled the parts over here. BritBox does not know if that is the actual truth, but thinks that it makes a great story just the same. Is this the final and ultimate expression of the MG sports car, or a soulless corporate hybrid? BritBox knows the answer to that one.
